Program Description

Your 8-day itinerary is perfectly positioned to explore the Southern Carpathians, home to Europe’s largest populations of brown bears and elusive lynx. To maximize your chances of success, we pair early morning and evening field trips in the company of a wildlife researcher, evening hides in Transylvania with dedicated beaver safaris

  • Fitness Level: Good physical fitness and the ability to cope with early starts/lack of sleep on wildlife days.
  • Accommodation: Local guesthouse in double rooms with en-suite facilities.
  • Meals: Full board (starts with dinner on Day 1; excludes alcohol and juices).
  • Transport: Minibus/car.

Costs

Cost: 1600 Euro per person

This cost is calculated for a group of minimum 2 persons, with accommodation in Zarnesti. Available accommodation also in Brasov medieval town (different cost!)

Included: 7 days full-board accommodation in a double room, local English-speaking wildlife guide, transfer from/to the airport, local transportation for the included activities, 3 days wildlife watching&tracking with a wildlife researcher, 2 visits at bear hides

Lunch consisting in sandwiches unless otherwise specified in the itinerary.

Single room supplement: 15 euro/day
