The bear safari allows you enrich your holiday in Brasov with an unforgettable experience: watch wild bears and other animals in uncontrolled conditions. Visit is available generally from mid-May until end-August, but do check with us for opportunity and availability both inside and outside this timeframe. The field trip takes place either in the afternoon/evening or very early in the morning (precise hour to be confirmed).
This bear safari starts from Brasov and transport is included (pick up from other places implies an extra cost). Usually we are successful in seeing wild bears and other animals, but as there are wild animals involved – nothing is guaranteed. ONLY between mid-May – end-August we give you a second chance free of charge in case your first was unsuccessful and no bears showed up (not available outside the mentioned timeframe!).

Program Description
Bear safari near Brasov involves a low-to-no level of fitness in most cases. There is not much walking involved, as it is impossible to move without noise and your chances to see any mammals decrease massively. Animals will sense you much earlier than you can spot them.
A wildlife specialist accompanies you at all times, being available to give you information related to bears, ecology and so on if you are interested.
You need to wear comfortable clothing and shoes (appropriate for the forest), dark and dull colors, long trousers and no strong smells
- Booking Minimum: A minimum of 2 paying participants is required. Solo travelers can book, but will be charged for 2 spots if a group hasn’t been formed.
- Zero Artificial Baits: The bears are completely wild and not attracted using food or lures.
- Out in the Open: This is not a hidden-blind experience; you will be observing in the wild, not staying inside a vehicle.
- Lighting Restrictions: Strict no-light policy. You must refrain from using any lights while taking photos. This includes camera flashes, video lights, and even your phone screen light (e.g., while taking selfies).
- Wildlife Guarantee: Since you are observing wild animals, sightings cannot be guaranteed. However, if you travel between mid-May and end-August, we offer a free second attempt if your first tour is unsuccessful.
- Photography: Non-commercial photo fees are included, provided you adhere strictly to the lighting ban.
- Safety First: Your wildlife specialist’s instructions are crucial. Compliance is mandatory for the safety of both participants and the local wildlife.

Profile
Bear safari near Brasov requires a low level of fitness. You need to be able to walk uphill for about 5-10 minutes in some cases, and stay relatively still and quiet for a while (no toilet available during the visit)
